Suggested Use:

Diflucan is an azole-based antifungal medicine used for a wide variety of fungal infestations and infections which are hard to treat and prevent from spreading.

Before Using This Product:

Before you start using Diflucan, tell your doctor if you also use Amphotericin B (Abelcet, AmBisome, Amphocil, Amphotec, Fungilin, Fungisome, Fungizone), Hismanal, Propulsid, Orap, or Seldane. These medicaments are contra-indicated during Diflucan treatment, so your doctor will choose another antifungal medicine for you. Your doctor may also change your dosage if you take any medicine for sleeplessness, convulsions or antianxiety drugs. Also tell your physician if you are an expecting or nursing mother, or if you have allergy to Diflucan or any of its components.

Prescription:

Fungal infections are different. Some of them are mild and disappear without treatment, while others may require weeks of therapy. Therefore, use Diflucan as prescribed by your health specialist and do not stop using it before the treatment is over even if you see improvement. If you use the medicine every day and you missed one dose, take the medicine as soon as you remember. If you missed a dose and it is already time to take another one, do not take two doses at the same time. Take one dose and continue taking the medicine as prescribed. Keep Diflucan in a dry cool place away from direct sun rays and excessive humidity.

Warnings:

If you believe that the medicine does not help treat your condition or the condition even worsens, contact your physician as soon as possible. Avoid using Diflucan with such drugs as: hismanal, seldane, and cisapride. Attend every meeting with your doctor as it is very important that your progress should be monitored during Diflucan treatment. Taking contraceptives with this medicine may be less effective as Diflucan diminishes their action, so another contraceptive should be used to prevent impregnation. If you are an expecting mother, talk to a health specialist to see if this medicine is safe for your baby. Nursing mothers should not take Diflucan, because the medicine can be found in the breast milk.

Unwanted Adverse Reaction:

Diflucan causes some minor side effects that may disappear in the lapse of time. They are: unset stomach, gastric pain and headache. Talk to your physician if you have any allergic reaction to the medicine: skin eruption, retching, or swelling.

Overdose:

Signs of Diflucan overdose are hallucinations and mood swings. If you believe that you overdosed, call your doctor as soon as you can even if you do not feel any different.

More Info:

Do not give Diflucan to anyone who suffers from fungal infections unless this medicine has been prescribed to that person and the drug treatment is required. Store Diflucan away from children. If you have been taking this medicament for a while, you can buy additional supply online.

Mixing with Other Drugs and Foods:

Mixing Diflucan with other drugs and certain substances may cause unexpected adverse reaction of the body. To avoid it tell your medical specialist about any other medication that you take.
