When taking Ultram on a day-by-day basis, try to follow your schedule carefully. If you missed one dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is already time to take another dose of this medication, do not take two doses of Ultram at the same time. Take one dose and continue taking it as prescribed by your medical specialist. Warnings: Do not take Ultram with alcoholic drinks as it may increase the risk of possible adverse reactions. A doctor should supervise your baby's and your condition if you are an expecting or nursing mother. Keep the medicine in a place away from humidity and direct sun rays where children cannot easily reach it. Unwanted Adverse Reaction: Symptoms of an adverse reaction may include giddiness; feeling nauseous or sick; upset stomach; heart arrhythmia; pain in the chest or other body parts; convulsions; confusion; labored respiration. Contact your doctor if you believe that you develop a dependence on this medicine. Do not take Ultram if you have an allergic response to this drug, its components, codeine, opioid analgesics, or other drugs that have pain-relieving properties. Overdose: A lower risk of overdose can be achieved if you establish a special time when you take the medicine daily. Taking a bigger dosage than prescribed is not justified because it can only harm your body. If you overdosed, seek professional medical help. Mixing with Other Drugs and Foods: Ultram should not be taken with sleeping pills, sedatives or other medication used to alleviate depression and anxiety.
